This is (or was) an exciting site that combined the ideals of Kerouac and Jim Morrison, among others and I was very happy to get my work published on this site. It has not been updated in a very long time and I fear it is now defunct/on indefinite hiatus. Strange Road published a number of my stories. Bartelby Snopes

Bartelby Snopes published A Sure Thing, a horse racing story and Reflections in the Looking Glass, a story of a young girl in Mexico contemplating fate, a Gabriel Garcia Marquez-inspired story. A Sure Thing won the first ever Story of the Month at Bartleby Snopes, of which I was quite honored. It was also nominated for a 2008 storySouth Million Writers Award.

Writing Raw

Writing Raw is a very cool/edgy on-line literary review that is friendly to writers. The editors there are open to new writers and stories. Highly recommended. They were generous enough to publish three of my stories and do an interview with me that I will have to locate and add onto this blog.

White Horse Tavern

Me outside my old haunt-writing and otherwise, 567 Hudson Street, the White Horse Tavern one winter night, 2008. I wrote many stories at those wooden tables seen here. I wrote a bulk of the story, Conversation at a Cafe' outside here one fall afternoon and came back the next day or so and finished it as the light faded from the trees and the buildings across the street. The photo is blurry but I like the colorful neon effect.

Rob McEvily, editor of Six Sentences met me there there for an interview. Here is a photo taken that night.

Absent Willow Review Anthology

Absent Willow Review had an anthology come out on October 31, 2009 and featured my story, Reclamation. The editor is very writer-friendly and also asked me to help pick out some stories that I thought should be included in the anthology, which I thought was very generous of him.

Northern Haunts Anthology-December 10, 2008

Written at La Tazza Cafe' in Covina, Down The Cellar was published in this Anthology. It should be noted that one of the great horror writers of this time or any other, Adam J. Whitlatch, appears in this collection. Upon my insistence, he submitted his story, Graveyard Shift. The publisher really likes his work and since, Adam has appeared on radio and been mentioned on horror podcasts as well. He is an excellent writer and I highly recommend any horror fans to look his work up-you won't be disappointed-just scared.

Out of the UK, this is a great literary review. Issue 1 contained End of Season written at the now defunct Balzac Cafe' in Azusa. Issue 2 contained Berlin Diary, 1962, written at La Tazza Cafe' in Covina.

All written at La Tazza Cafe' in Covina. I'm very proud to be associated with the very fine 6 Sentences and its excellent and generous editor, Rob McEvily. Volume 1 contains Homeland Insecurity, On Longing and Her Leaving, A Homecoming, The Unraveling of Mr. Pimm, Adrift and Dateline:Baghdad. Volume 2 contains Masks and The Undefeated. Rob called me "...far and away 6S's most prolific writer".

Primarily written at the White Horse Tavern at 567 Hudson, Street, NYC. The White Horse was presented one of the first copies. Alpha Beat Press, publishers of Kerouac, Bukowski and many of the other Beat poets published a collection of my poems in 1998. I had heard of Alpha beat Press and sent a manuscript to Ana & Dave Christy and they accepted it. I'm very proud of this collection and hurriedly did the cover art for it, depicting a Muse.

Origin of the Species

This blog is an attempt to keep all of my published works in one place. I've been asked countless times if I had a blog. In the past, I'd always answered that question with a resounding: "No."

I believe the sole job of a writer is to write and not to keep an online diary, per se, of random thoughts, likes/dislikes, etc., but I suppose that is personally up to the writer, no?But with nearly 200 published stories under my literary belt and no sign of any writer's block in the near future, the task to reign in those stories scattered all over cyberspace can be somewhat daunting. Not to mention numerous poems and articles, as well. In my efforts, I'm sure I've left some stories out and this is my way of keeping the beast in the cage.

Also, of late, I have been inspired by excellent and highly recommended blogspots such as Six Sentences, Bazooko's Circus, Hemingway's Paris and The Hemingway Project, to name but a few.

Above all-I hope you like my stories.
